Basma graduated from Queen's University Belfast in 2020 with her dental degree (BDS) and in 2018 with a Masters in Research (MRes) in Translational Medicine. She has completed postgraduate qualifications and is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh (MFDS RCSEdin).
Basma moved to Bristol for foundation training and has remained in the South West since. She has worked in a variety of dental settings including as a Senior House Officer in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the Royal United Hospitals Bath. She has previously worked in mixed NHS/private practice as an associate and as a locum dentist.
Currently she splits time between working as a dental officer for the Community Dental Service in Bristol and as a dentist in general practice.
Her interests include oral surgery as well the treatment of anxious patients. She is currently becoming accredited as a seditionist in inhalational and IV sedation. She has also completed courses in facial aesthetics and can offer anti-wrinkle treatment using Botox.
In her spare time Basma loves travelling, hiking and spending time with friends and family.
